The RAD Cycle Products fitness desk is not an exercise bike. It is a rolling, height-adjustable table built to stand over a bike on a turbo trainer or an exercise bike you already own. If your bike is quiet enough to ride while working, this is the cheapest way in our desk bike guide to add a surface for a laptop, tablet or phone.

Our take
What it is and how it is built
The desk has a steel frame on locking casters with a single rectangular top. The listing gives the overall size as 70.5 by 63.5 by 119.4 cm and the weight as 8.48 kg. Assembly is required.
The top has a non-slip surface with built-in slots for a tablet and a phone, plus holes for cable management. That makes it practical for following a training video, taking notes or answering messages between efforts.
Height range and fit
The top adjusts from 33.5 to 47 inches, roughly 85 to 119 cm. On a road bike mounted on a trainer, or on a spin bike with a high handlebar, you will want the upper part of that range so the top clears the bars or sits just above them. On a lower upright or recumbent bike, the lower settings may suit better. Measure your handlebar height and saddle height before buying.
Limits to keep in mind
The listed load capacity is 19.96 kg. That is fine for a laptop, a tablet and a drink, but not for a monitor arm or a heavy desktop computer. The desk also has no resistance, pedals or console of its own, so its usefulness depends entirely on the bike you pair it with. A loud spin bike with a friction pad will still be loud on a call.
Compared with all-in-one desk bikes
The FitDesk 3.0 builds a desk into a folding bike, which is simpler if you have nothing yet. The FLEXISPOT V9U is a pedal seat for a normal desk. The RAD desk only makes sense if you already have a bike you like, but in that case it avoids buying a second machine and can roll aside when you train hard.
Verdict
Buy the RAD Cycle desk if you already own a quiet exercise bike or trainer setup and just want a movable surface for a laptop or tablet. If you are starting from scratch, the FitDesk 3.0 gives you bike and desk together, and the FLEXISPOT V9U suits anyone who would rather pedal at their existing desk.
