The FitDesk Bike Desk 3.0 is for people who want to pedal through emails rather than squeeze a workout in before or after them. Unlike an under-desk pedal unit, it is a complete bike with its own small desk mounted in front of the saddle, so you do not need a desk at the right height. That all-in-one design is what sets it apart from the other options in our desk bike guide.

- Lists a 146 to 198 cm user range and a 300 lb (about 136 kg) limit.

Our take
What the listing says you get
FitDesk describes the 3.0 as a folding magnetic exercise bike with a desk on top. The desk has a non-slip surface, a built-in tablet holder and an easy-access storage tray. Massage rollers sit where your forearms rest, which the maker says makes typing while pedalling more comfortable.
Resistance comes from a magnetic system with eight levels, driven by a twin belt and what the listing calls a high velocity flywheel. A digital meter tracks mileage, calories and time. Workout bands are included for some upper body work between tasks.
Fit, seat options and size
Amazon lists a user height range of 146 to 198 cm and a maximum user weight of 300 lb, which is roughly 136 kg. A seat back and an extender come in the box, so you can sit upright or lean back in a semi-recumbent position. For long working sessions, that second position may be the more comfortable one.
The listed dimensions are 40.6 by 71.1 by 114.3 cm and the bike weighs 20.4 kg. It folds, which helps if it has to share a spare room or a corner of the living room. Assembly instructions are delivered through the BILT 3D app rather than only a paper manual.
What it is like to work on
The work surface is the main limit. It is sized for a laptop or tablet, not a full monitor, keyboard and paperwork. If you rely on a large screen, you will either work from the laptop alone or need a separate setup. Eight resistance levels also keep the effort steady rather than intense, which is the point: you want to keep breathing normally on a video call.
How it compares with the alternatives
The FLEXISPOT V9U takes the opposite approach. It is a bike seat on pedals that rolls up to your existing desk, so you keep your full desk space but need that desk to sit at the right height. The LifePro FlexStride is far smaller and cheaper to store, but as an under-desk pedal unit it gives a much lighter workout than a full bike. The FitDesk sits between them: more of a bike than the FlexStride, and more self-contained than the V9U.
Verdict
Buy the FitDesk 3.0 if you work mainly from a laptop and want a single folding unit that gives you both a bike and a surface to type on. If you already own a good desk and want to keep using it, the FLEXISPOT V9U is the better fit. If you only want light leg movement under a normal desk, the LifePro FlexStride is simpler.
