The BARWING 5-in-1 is a folding X-frame bike that tries to cover a lot: upright and reclined riding, folding storage, arm and leg bands and app links. What makes it stand out is the range of people it claims to fit, from 4 ft 11 to 6 ft 6 and up to 350 lb, which is unusual for a bike that folds into a corner.

In its favour
- Rated for 350 lb (about 159 kg), high for a folding bike.
- The maker says the seat support was reinforced in 2026 for durability.
- Fits riders from 4 ft 11 to 6 ft 6 and links to Kinomap and Zwift.
Good to know
- At 18.1 kg it is the lightest bike here, so it may feel less planted.
- A 6.6 lb (about 3 kg) flywheel is light for hard efforts.
Our take
The five modes explained
BARWING sums the bike up as 16-8-2-3: sixteen magnetic levels, eight seat height settings, two seat angle settings and three postures. The postures are upright for harder cardio, reclined with the backrest for gentler riding, and folded for storage. Integrated arm and leg resistance bands add the remaining modes, letting you work the upper body on the same frame.
Frame, seat and noise
The heavy-duty steel frame uses an X-type stability design rated for 350 lb, which is about 159 kg. The maker says the padded seat support was reinforced in 2026. The flywheel weighs 6.6 lb, about 3 kg, working with a four-magnet system and an ABS belt. BARWING quotes riding noise under 20 dB.
That light flywheel is the trade-off. It suits steady cardio and reclined riding but will feel less smooth than a heavy spin bike flywheel under hard, fast pedalling.
Apps, display and storage
Over Bluetooth the bike connects to Kinomap and Zwift, according to the listing. An LCD tracks time, speed, distance, calories and odometer, and a phone holder sits on the console. Folded, the bike takes roughly 1.8 sq ft of floor. It weighs 18.1 kg, arrives 70% pre-assembled and rolls on transport wheels. BARWING offers a one-year parts warranty.
How it stacks up
Against the YOSUDA 5-in-1, the BARWING gives a clearer rider height range and named app support, while the YOSUDA lists a higher limit in its specs but contradicts it in the title. Against the Marcy JX-7301, a fixed dual-action recumbent, the BARWING is far easier to store but its arm work comes from bands rather than moving handles linked to the pedals.
Verdict
The BARWING 5-in-1 suits households with riders of very different sizes who need a bike that folds away and still links to Zwift or Kinomap. If you want heavy flywheel feel for hard efforts, a fixed spin bike such as the Wenoker JC318 is a better match. If true moving arm handles matter more than storage, choose the Marcy JX-7301.
