The Upreign spin bike is a straightforward magnetic bike aimed at quiet late-evening rides. What separates it from many budget spin bikes is comfort and control: a padded seat that adjusts four ways, non-slip armrests that move in two directions, and a resistance lever that stops the flywheel when pressed. It suits riders under its stated limit who value a calm, adjustable ride over apps.

Our take

Resistance and safety lever

Magnetic resistance and a maintenance-free belt drive keep the bike quiet, Upreign says, so you can ride without disturbing others. The spec table lists eight levels, while the bullets describe an extensive range.

Pressing the resistance lever stops the flywheel straight away. On a spin bike, where the pedals keep turning with the flywheel, that quick stop is an important safety feature. It also matters in homes with children or pets nearby, since a spinning flywheel and moving cranks can take a few seconds to coast down on bikes without a brake. Magnetic resistance has no friction pad to replace, so ongoing upkeep is limited to the occasional bolt check and a wipe of the frame.

Adjustment and comfort

The four-way seat adjusts up, down, forwards and back, and the armrests adjust in two directions to help you settle into a supported, leaning position. Adjustable pedals and thick frame tubes complete the setup. Ranges in centimetres are not given, so taller and shorter riders should check fit soon after delivery.

Console, mount and moving it

The LCD shows heart rate, time, speed, distance, calories and odometer, and a smartphone mount keeps music or video in view. No app support or flywheel weight is mentioned.

Transport wheels let you roll the 18.6 kg bike aside. The maximum user weight is 264 lb, about 120 kg. Much of Amazon's spec table for this bike contains garbled text, so rely on the bullet points.

Upreign against the SEKAM and YPOO bikes

The SEKAM SK-MEB gives five numbered seat and bar positions and cage pedals with a 136 kg limit, though its resistance type is unclear. The YPOO BC710 adds Zwift and Kinomap compatibility and a similar press-to-stop knob. The Upreign's armrests and four-way seat make it the comfort pick of the three for lighter riders.

Verdict

Buy the Upreign if you weigh under 120 kg and want a quiet magnetic bike with armrests and a quick-stop lever. Riders who want app-based rides should pick the YPOO BC710, and heavier users should look at the Wenoker JC318 with its 160 kg rating.
