The Smart Folding X-Bike is Sunny's bike for homes where exercise kit cannot stay out all day. The X-shaped frame collapses so the bike can be wheeled into a cupboard or behind a door. What makes it more than a basic folder is the spec around that frame: 14 magnetic levels, a 135 kg user limit and access to the SunnyFit app without a membership charge, according to the listing.

Our take
How the folding frame works day to day
Sunny says the X-frame folds in seconds and has built-in transport wheels. Unfolded, the bike measures 85 by 55 cm with a height of 134 cm and weighs 20 kg, which makes it one of the smaller footprints among our exercise bike picks even before folding. The folded dimensions are not given, so it is worth measuring the gap you have in mind against the unfolded width and height.
Resistance, display and comfort
Fourteen magnetic levels run through a sealed belt drive. That is more steps than the eight on Sunny's own upright or the Marcy NS-1201U, so the jump between levels is smaller and progress feels steadier.
The LCD shows time, speed, distance, calories, total kilometres, RPM and pulse. Pulse comes from grip sensors, so no chest strap is needed for a rough heart-rate reading. The seat is described as extra-wide with high-density foam, and the pedals carry adjustable straps. There are holders for a phone or tablet and a water bottle.
Setup, upkeep and the app
Sunny mentions clear UK English assembly instructions and a rust-resistant finish, plus sealed magnets that need little attention. Over Bluetooth the bike joins SunnyFit, which the listing says offers more than 1,000 workouts and 10,000 virtual routes. Resistance stays manual, so the app guides rather than adjusts.
The listing gives a supported rider height of up to 203 cm, which is generous for a folding design.
Who should look elsewhere
A folding X-frame is lighter than a full-size bike and does not feel as planted when you push hard out of the saddle. Riders who want sprint efforts or Zwift power data are better served by the BH Osaka H9110. If you want more seat adjustment for a family and can leave the bike standing, Sunny's Performance Interactive upright gives four-way seat movement in a compact 98 by 59 cm frame.
Verdict
This is the one to buy if the bike must fold away after each ride and you still want 14 levels, pulse sensors and a free app. Those who ride hard and fast should step up to a fixed frame such as the BH Osaka H9110, and anyone needing a backrest should choose the Wenoker JC503 recumbent.
