The Body Sculpture BR3010 is not a rowing machine in the modern flywheel sense. It uses tension cords for resistance and adds a built-in gym for toning exercises, all on a 14 kg frame that folds. That makes it the lightest machine among our small-space rowers and suited to occasional workouts in a bedroom or box room rather than serious training.

In its favour
- At 14 kg it is the lightest machine here and easy to put away.
- It folds, and the built-in gym adds upper-body exercises.
- Large pivoting footplates with Velcro straps.
Good to know
- Only three resistance settings: low, medium and high.
- The 100 kg max user weight is the lowest in this guide.
Our take
How the resistance works
Three tension cords can be set to low, medium or high. There is no flywheel described, so the stroke will feel different from a magnetic or water rower, with resistance coming from the cords stretching rather than a spinning mass. Amazon's spec table labels the mechanism as magnetic, which conflicts with the bullets; the cord description is more specific, so treat it as cord-based.
Three settings offer limited progression, which is fine for light cardio and toning but restrictive for building endurance.
The built-in gym
The second function is a set of exercises for the arms, chest, shoulders, lats and abs using the same frame. Body Sculpture pitches it as a 2-in-1 for a varied full-body session. A free instructional DVD is included to explain the moves, though many homes no longer have a player, so check you can use it.
Feet, monitor and storage
Large pivoting footplates with Velcro straps hold the feet in place. The built-in computer shows estimated calories, stroke count, total count, a scan mode and time, powered by two AA batteries.
The frame folds for storage, and at 14 kg it is easy to lift into a cupboard. The listed dimensions (32 by 120 by 19.2 cm) appear to be packed or folded; the working length is not clear. The maximum user weight is 100 kg and the warranty covers parts for one year.
When a different rower makes more sense
The YPOO RM912F folds to about 0.12 m² and gives 16 magnetic levels with a 160 kg limit, so it offers far more training range in a similarly small stored space. The Wenoker H300 is another compact, quiet magnetic option. The BR3010 suits only those who want something very light and simple, or who value the toning exercises.
Verdict
Buy the BR3010 if you want a very light, folding machine for occasional rowing and toning and you weigh under 100 kg. For regular rowing with real progression, the YPOO RM912F or Wenoker H300 are better choices that still store in a small space.
